My take on the famous Moscow Mule using Fireball whisky. This recipe is a sure way to spice up any cocktail party.

The blazing mule is one of my favorite cocktails to make during a party for two reasons - it is easy to make and it is something most people haven't tried before, so it's memorable. It's my take on the #MoscowMule. I first came up with this drink when I was in a pinch. A girlfriend of mine was coming over to have drinks one afternoon, and I had NOTHING to serve. I knew her favorite type of alcohol was #Fireball, and I happened to have some in my bar. So I quickly Googled, as any good hostess would do, the fastest way to make a cocktail with Fireball. I came across this recipe that sounded delicious, but I soon realized that the only ingredient I had on hand was the Fireball. Shoot! What to do...

After rummaging through the fridge, I found ginger beer, key lime juice, coke, pineapple juice, and a juice box. I tried a few different combinations, sipped the juice box to power up, and then came up with the Blazing Mule. The spice on this drink is powerful but not overbearing.

A few observations: you can pretty much eyeball this drink, as it is pretty forgiving. Too much spice? Add pineapple juice. Not enough spice? Add a splash of Fireball or more ginger beer. Not all ginger beer is created equally, so make sure you get a good brand before you make this drink. And most of all, this drink is best enjoyed in the company of friends!

Recipe

Ingredients:

2 parts Pineapple juice

1 part Fireball whisky

1 can Ginger beer (cold)

1 splash Lime juice

Directions:

In a drink mixer combine pineapple juice, lime juice, and Fireball whisky to mix and chill. Pour into a mule mug and top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime for a little extra detail.
